Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November. The Governor-General’s proclamation dated 30 October 1997 declared 11 November as Remembrance Day and called for one minute’s silence at 11.00am.

Services are held at 11.00am at War Memorials, schools and in towns across the country. During the service the “Last Post” is sounded by a bugler followed by one minute silence and “Reveille”.

The annual Remembrance Day Service will be held at the Cenotaph, Martin Place, Sydney on Monday, 11 November 2013 from 10.30am.
