Seniors to save on energy bills

Seniors across NSW are being encouraged to use their NSW Seniors Card to save on electricity, gas and solar energy bills.

Through a new partnership between the NSW Seniors Card program and AGL Energy, existing and new customers can receive:

  • 20% discount off electricity usage charges.
  • 18% discount off gas usage charges.
  • 5% per cent discount off tradespeople and appliances (heating, cooling and hot water).
  • Seniors who wish to purchase a solar system outright will receive an initial $100 credit on their electricity bill.
  • Seniors who take up the Senior Solar Smart Plan will save at least $200.

To be eligible for a NSW Seniors Card you must be a NSW permanent resident aged 60 or over.  Find out more and apply for a NSW Seniors Card online at www.service.nsw.gov.au.
