Local communities across Sydney will be able to have their say on what makes their neighbourhood special as part of new campaign to shape the future of Sydney.

The Our Sydney/Your Home campaign will include a travelling “Talk Bus” to visit community events, local shops and sporting fixtures and will be equipped with tablet computers where the public can have their say about the best things in their local areas and what they would like to see improved.

Planning Minister Rob Stokes said the campaign aims to get feedback from the public to help develop the future of housing, greenspaces and transport across Sydney.

“We want to hear directly from the local community to help shape the future of Sydney,” Mr Stokes said.

The campaign will be led by the Greater Sydney Commission, an independent organisation working across government, industry and community to lead big picture planning for Sydney.
