Star gazing at Broken Hill is becoming popular with tourists.

Outback Astronomy is an innovative small business that’s taking advantage of Broken Hill’s stunning starscapes by offering personalised tours of the night sky, providing intriguing facts and showcasing dazzling sky objects.

In just 12 months of operation, Outback Astronomy has become one of regional NSW’s most captivating tourism experiences, even featuring in the Lonely Planet.

Outback Astronomy’s owner Linda Nadge was supported by Small Biz Connect, which is funded by the NSW Government. Small Biz Connect provides quality, personalised and a highly subsidised business advisory program for small businesses in NSW.

Ms Nadge lived and worked in Broken Hill for 18 years before setting her sights on her small business endeavor. She wanted to combine her passion for star gazing, a desire to remain in Broken Hill and was excited by the prospect of attracting more people to the area.
