State by-elections this weekend

By-elections will be held in the state electoral districts of Gosford, Manly and North Shore on Saturday, 8 April 2017.

It is compulsory to vote at the by-election if you are an Australian citizen, are 18 years or older, and a resident in your state district.

You can check online if you are enrolled to vote. Residents who fail to vote at the state by-election will receive a $55 penalty.

If you aren’t sure if you are required to vote at the state by-election, you can check using the NSW Enrolment Verification Facility.

The iVote system is available for the by-elections. iVote allows eligible voters to use the internet or telephone as an alternative to voting at a polling place.
