The $282.1 million redevelopment and expansion will allow the hospital to cater to its community’s future needs.

Stage Three will include the construction of a new front entry canopy, new on-grade car parking, and a landscaped forecourt.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the NSW Government is putting regional communities front and centre with first-class health care and facilities.

“I am pleased to announce we are bringing funding forward so that we can get the necessary demolition work done to really drive the Stage Three redevelopment,” Ms Berejiklian said.

“This means that we will see a continuous build on the site following the demolition of the hospital tower block and creation of a new forecourt and front entrance for the new hospital.”

Member for Wagga Wagga Daryl Maguire said the continuous build would allow continuity of the capital works team who have developed important knowledge about the project.

“I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and administrators at the hospital, as well as the community for their patience and understanding while we continue to build on this site,” Mr Maguire said.
