The Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC) NSW-ACT Rural Women’s Award is now in its 15th year. The award aims to support women with the desire and potential to make a major contribution to primary industries in rural areas.
Entries are open now and will close on Friday 31 October 2014. The process for the award will be:
- Applicants will be short-listed and interviewed in each state and territory.
- 4 finalists will be selected in NSW-ACT.
- The winner will receive a $10,000 grant and participation in the RIRDC Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course.
- 3 finalists will each receive $1000 to further develop their vision or build their leadership and business management skills.
The Rural Women’s Award is coordinated by the NSW Rural Women’s Network through the Department of Primary Industries and is sponsored by NSW Farmers, Office of Environment & Heritage and the Country Women’s Association of NSW.
