The new lifts are part of the NSW Government’s $770 million Transport Access Program, which will deliver accessible, modern and integrated transport infrastructure where it’s needed most.

Along with the lifts, Arncliffe station will receive further upgrades, such as:

  • canopies on platforms,
  • new signage,
  • accessible toilets,
  • disabled parking,
  • extra bike racks,
  • shelters for buses, taxis, and
  • kiss and ride areas.

Construction is planned to start in 2015, subject to planning approval.
