Central West firm wins major Chinese aircraft contract
The historic contract, set for a term of 40 years; will also see Brumby supply AVIC with light aircraft for recreational use in domestic and international markets.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Stoner said the agreement will see Brumby to quadruple its current staff base in Cowra, providing a major jobs boost to the Central Western economy.
“This deal is a huge boost for the manufacturing industry in Central West NSW and it will give Brumby the opportunity to export its design and technology capability to China and to other markets around the world”, Mr Stoner said.
The deal also includes the building of an international flight training centre in Cowra, which is expected to add further value to the local economy.
