Financial support for bushfire-affected businesses and councils
Financial assistance packages are available to small businesses and councils who have been affected by the bushfires.
Financial assistance includes:
- grants of up to $50,000 are available via Service NSW to small businesses and non-for-profit organisations for repairs to their premises, equipment or stock directly damaged by the bushfires
- payments of up to $250,000 to Local Government Areas impacted by bushfires for small scale local activities that will kick-start the social and economic recovery of their communities
- loans of up to $500,000 are available via NSW Rural Assistance Authority to support business operations such as salaries, rent, lease and rates, and the purchase of goods and services.
The funding support is provided by the NSW and Australian Governments through Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
