NSW Environment & Heritage'sGreen Globe Awardsare the biggest and most important sustainability awards recognising organisations and individuals who integrate environmental practices and resource–saving initiatives into their lives and work.
Nominations can be completed online at the NSW Environment & Heritage website.
The awards cover a range of resource, business, community and individual sustainability initiatives.There are 17 awards across three categories:
- Excellence in Energy, Water and Waste Efficiency.
- Excellence in Sustainability.
- Excellence in Leadership and Innovation.
- 18 May - nominations open.
- 13 July - nominations close.
- Early Sept - finalists announced.
- Early Oct - awards night.
Who can apply?
Nominations are open to small and large businesses, the public sector, community organisations and individuals who can demonstrate significant contributions to sustainability in NSW.
Achievements of nominees highlight the social, physical and economic gains delivered to the community, when nature and natural resources are protected.
How are the winners decided?
An independent panel of judges from the fields of energy, water, waste, sustainability and environmental research and academia will select the winners after the judging process has been finalised.
The winners will be presented at an awards night hosted by the Minister for the Environment and Heritage at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in early October.
