More buses from Bondi to the Sydney Harbour Bridge
More than 1000 extra customers will be able to ride the bus during morning weekday peak, reducing congestion on the road and improving reliability.
Weekend capacity will be boosted by 10,000 for families and tourists visiting the iconic Bondi Beach.
Two of Australia’s most famous landmarks will see the 333 “turn-up-and-go” buses operating every three minutes during peak hour, every six minutes during the day, and every 10 minutes at night, seven days a week.
Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance said the improved service will be one of the most frequent transport services operating in Australia.
“We will deliver this improved service for people of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs with our existing fleet of bendy-buses, which saves taxpayers both time and money, and gives commuters another reason to leave the car at home,” Mr Constance said.
The service changes will commence on 23 September 2018.
