NSW Telco Authority attends the 3rd Annual Australian Beyond 5G Summit
Chief Customer Officer Rania Wannous and Chief Digital Technology Officer James Pickens represented NSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) at the Connectivity Innovation Network (CIN) event.
Hosted by the CIN at the University of Technology Sydney on 17-18 October 2024, the event brought together telecommunications industry leaders, experts and innovators from Australia and across the world.
The first day saw Rania moderate a panel discussion on 'Challenges to Emergency Communications and Solutions on the Horizon', guiding an engaging dialogue on critical issues.
James opened the second day with a keynote presentation on the importance of ubiquitous connectivity for communities and emergency services beyond 5G.
The summit focused on exploring the impact of AI on future telecommunications networks, examining antenna solutions for 5G and 6G, drawing on academic perspectives and innovative research.
Launched in 2021, the CIN is an initiative of the NSW Government developed by the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer and NSWTA.
