The new centres are planned for Armidale, Albury, Blacktown, Bondi Junction, Hurstville, Maitland, North Sydney and Ryde.
During the next 3 years, Service NSW will convert the current motor registry network (Roads and Maritime Services) into its shops.
Minister for Finance and Services Dominic Perrottet said this would improve customer coverage by around 20%, compared to the current motor registry network.
Improvements to Service NSW during the next 3 years will include:
- Live Chat and mobile apps so customers can get the help they need immediately.
- A network of outlets with more stand-alone kiosks to help customers beat queues and complete transactions faster.
- Two more centres in Liverpool and Penrith will open by the end of June, completing the initial network of 18 service centres across NSW.
