If you are in urgent need of mental health support, call one of the following crisis care services:
NSW Health is working closely with the Australian Government to plan and implement a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination program in NSW.
The Australian Government has developed a Australian COVID-19 Vaccination Policy so that everyone can access a safe, effective and free COVID-19 vaccine.
The Australian Government Department of Health website has a vaccination eligibility checker. You can use the vaccination checker to confirm which vaccination phase you are part of, and book your vaccination at a clinic near you.
Both the Pfizer/BioNTech and AstraZeneca vaccines offer strong levels of protection against severe COVID-19, regardless of people's individual backgrounds. The type of COVID-19 vaccine offered will depend on which priority group the person is part of, the person's work or residential location, the quantity of vaccine available, and the authorisation for use for each vaccine that is approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). You will not be able to choose which COVID-19 vaccine you receive.
For further information, please visit the NSW Health and National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance websites.
From 29 March 2021, face masks are no longer mandatory in any setting.
NSW Health strongly recommends people continue to use a face mask in places where physical distancing cannot be maintained, including on public transport.
If you are travelling to NSW from overseas and are seeking an exemption on medical grounds from the 14-day mandatory hotel quarantine, please visit the NSW Health website.
For people arriving from overseas who are currently quarantined in designated hotels, and require on-site medical or mental health assistance, call Healthcare Australia on 1300 422 247.
