Let's Rock NSW Privacy Collection Notice

Why are we collecting your personal information and health information?

The Department of Customer Service is collecting your personal information and health information through this form.  

The purpose of collecting this information is to register you to attend and participate in the event (Let’s Rock NSW) and to accommodate any accessibility requirements when attending the event at the venue (Royal Randwick).

What personal information and health information do we collect?

We will collect the following personal information and health information from you:

• first name and last name
• email address
• mobile number
• your personal opinions and views regarding disability inclusion in the workplace and related matters
• accessibility requirements

How will we use and disclose this information?

The Department of Customer Service will use the personal information and health information we collect about you to:

• Register you to attend the event.
• Inform the venue (Australian Turf Club Limited which manages Royal Randwick) of your dietary requirements and accessibility requirements in order to make suitable arrangements at the event.
• Communicate with you regarding the event details, including sending reminders and follow-up information via email.
• Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
• (After the event) send you an ‘optional’ feedback survey to complete to gather feedback to develop and improve our future event(s).
• Gather research and statistical analytics on the number of participants and feedback for the event and any general views regarding disability inclusion in the workplace and related matters.
• Other directly related purposes.

We will disclose this information with the following third parties:  

• (only your name, dietary and accessibility requirements) the venue (Australian Turf Club Limited which manages Royal Randwick) in order to make arrangements to accommodate your dietary and accessibility requirements when attending the event; and
• (only your name) RegOnsite which will be engaged by the Department to print name badges for you to use at the event.  

For the purpose of gathering research and statistical analytics, we may disclose de-identified information (which is information that does not contain personal information or health information about individuals) to other NSW government agencies that are part of the DENconnect community regarding:  

• the number of participants at the event,  
• feedback for the event; and  
• any general views regarding disability inclusion in the workplace and related matters.

We will not disclose your personal information and/or health information to third parties for any purposes not already stated in this privacy collection notice, or to which you have not otherwise consented, unless we are required or authorised, by law to do so.

Are you required by law to provide us with this information?

Providing us with the requested information is not required by law. However, if you choose not to provide us with the requested information, we will not be able to register you for the event and accommodate any dietary requirements and/or accessibility requirements.
