ASEAN-Australia Special Summit 2018
ICC Sydney welcomed the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, 11 heads of state and the Secretary-General of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in March 2018.
Held in Australia for the first time, more than 500 high profile delegates from the Asia Pacific region came together to strengthen Australia’s strategic partnership with ASEAN and promote economic cooperation, security and prosperity.

10th World Chambers Congress
In a nod to Sydney’s growing stature in the international economic marketplace, the International Chamber of Commerce’s World Chambers Federation held their signature event, the 10th edition of the World Chambers Congress at the ICC Sydney in September 2017.
Over 1200 of the world’s leading business chamber leaders and professionals from 110 countries exchanged and developed community best practice.

How the project is tracking
The ICC Sydney opened in 2016.
In 2018-19, ICC Sydney delivered 671 core events and $902 million to the economy through operation of the venue.
The events also generated $896 million in delegate expenditure, of which 73 per cent ($654 million) came from interstate and international visitors. This resulted in more than 1.77 million overnight stays, driving continued investment in local hotel refurbishment and development. Delegate expenditure led to the creation of 5790 jobs.
