Supporting recovery across NSW
Extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and intense. This means we need to keep focusing on recovery and building stronger, more resilient landscapes.
Local Land Services plays a key role in helping communities respond to natural disasters and support long-term recovery across NSW.
Local Land Services has responded to many emergencies, including bushfires and floods. We’ve worked with landholders, agencies, community groups and contractors to protect and restore the environment.
These recovery projects have helped to:
- improve the condition of threatened species and vegetation
- improve water quality and waterway health
- improve the overall health of local ecosystems.
