Australia’s Premier Food Industry Trade Show
The NSW Government is participating in Fine Food Australia 2026. The event will be held from 31 August – 3 September 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Fine Food Australia is the largest food industry trade show in the southern hemisphere. Over 26,000 trade visitors from over 50 countries visit the show every year.
The NSW Government is offering a dedicated space for businesses to exhibit within the Flavours of NSW zone at Fine Food Australia. The Flavours of NSW zone showcases the diverse food and beverage manufacturing capabilities of NSW and promotes NSW Government support for the industry.
Up to 15 First Nations and regional NSW food and beverage producers will be supported to take part in a shared showcase. The event will highlight premium NSW produce and showcase regional excellence and innovation across the food and beverage sector
Participation is subject to a competitive EOI process with successful businesses required to make a $500 contribution towards participation.

Expressions of interest closed at 5:00pm AEDT, Friday 29 May. Successful applicants will be notified by Thursday 11 June 2026.
This project is being led by Regional Economic Development in the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
Exhibiting in the Flavours of NSW zone provides participating businesses with a range of strategic and commercial benefits, including:
- showcasing products to domestic and international buyers, distributors and industry representatives
- being invited to attend a targeted networking event held during the exhibition
- participating in a series of online Trade Show Readiness workshops on 1 July, 6 July, 15 July and 22 July
- inclusion in NSW Government promotional activity, including media releases, editorial content and social media
- having direct on-site access to NSW Government agency representatives
- support to engage with other NSW Government support programs such as the Going Global Export Program
- exploring opportunities to grow your manufacturing capability in NSW
Applicants will need to:
- be a NSW-based food or beverage business operating
- be committed to showcasing their NSW manufactured product at the NSW Government stand
- be committed to supplying digital content for prior review and display during the Fine Food Australia 2026
Evaluation of applications will be based upon the NSW Government’s assessment of:
- food or beverage manufacturing capability
- native ingredients
- regional NSW location
- innovation
- marketability
- growth and export potential
- ability to service new customers.
Geographical spread, product range and diversity considerations may also be considered in determining the final co-exhibitors.
Complete the Fine Food Australia 2026 Expression of Interest Form by 5pm AEDT Friday 29 May and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Application process.
As part of the application, applicants may choose one of the following options:
- Submit a link to a 60‑second self‑recorded “elevator pitch” video (via YouTube), or
- Provide a written response addressing the same selection criteria.
Successful applicants will be notified by Thursday 11 June 2026.
Submitting a video
If choosing the video option, include a link within the application form to your 1‑minute self‑recorded ‘elevator pitch’ video, hosted on YouTube. Videos will be assessed by a cross‑agency panel of NSW Government staff.
The video pitch should be approximately 60 seconds long and convey the following information:
- Unique Selling Proposition (what makes your product unique)
- Business growth potential
- Business export capability
- Capacity to supply the market
What should I include in my pitch?
The purpose of the written response or video is to provide the panel with additional information about your business and how it supports and showcases the food and beverage manufacturing capabilities of NSW.
To help maximise this opportunity, consider including the following information in your video:
- Who are you?
- What is your business and what products do you sell?
- Which part of NSW are you from?
- When was your business established?
- What inspired you to start your business?
- What is different or unique about your product?
- Where / how do you sell your product?
- What do you need to do to expand your business? e.g. are you seeking distributors, new outlets, etc.?
- Why should you be a part of the Flavours of NSW zone at Fine Food Australia 2026?

How to prepare your pitch video
To submit your video, upload it to YouTube and provide us with a shareable link so that we can access it. The following instructions will help you to upload your video to YouTube and set the appropriate privacy levels to ensure we can view it.
YouTube instructions
- Create a YouTube account and sign in
- Select Upload in Video Manager or in the top right corner of the screen
- Select the video presentation you wish to submit (you can drag and drop the file into YouTube)
- Name your video using the convention “Business name_Applicant name” and as the video is uploading check the video is unlisted (not public).
- When the video has finished uploading, click share and copy the link to paste into the application form, please then check to make sure the video is available to view. If necessary, depending on your permissions, you may need to list in public view.
If your video link is not included in the application or we cannot access it, you will automatically be excluded from further consideration by the panel.
Submitting an application does not guarantee a subsided space in the Flavours of NSW zone at the Fine Food Australia trade show.
- Successful applicants will be co-exhibiting within the custom Flavours of Regional NSW zone and provided with an individual lockable counter, display area for their products, company name branding and the marketing exhibitor success package.
Selection of successful applicants is at the sole discretion of the NSW Government.
In assessing applications, we may take into account the information on your application and any information we receive from any other source.
We may discontinue or change this application process at our discretion at any time.

If your application is successful:
You will be required to contribute $500 toward exhibition costs. This contribution supports your participation in the Flavours of NSW Zone at Fine Food Australia. Refer to pricing provided by the organisers of Fine Food Australia (Diversified Exhibitions Australia Pty Ltd) for more details
You will be required to enter into an agreement with the organisers of Fine Food Australia (Diversified Exhibitions Australia Pty Ltd) which will include other terms and conditions.
You must comply with any terms and conditions required by the Fine Food Australia event organisers (Diversified Exhibitions Australia Pty Ltd) and the venue owners (Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre).
We may use your business as the subject of publicity and for case studies.
You will be required to participate in pre-event online Trade Show Readiness workshops on 1 July, 6 July, 15 July and 22 July
You will be required to supply sample product/s for marketing purposes at the Fine Food event (in line with exhibition specifications)
You will be required to participate in follow-up surveys to enable us to assess the benefits of the initiative and its impacts on your business.
We will treat your application as confidential, subject to its obligations under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. This means that we may have to release information in response to a request lodged under that Act.
We are collecting, and may use, your personal information for the purposes of assessing applications and to send communications about business related activities. We may disclose the information to staff administering the program and to other NSW Government staff in order to assess and administer applications.
