Regional Communities Development Fund
Delivering funding for projects that have high levels of community backing.

Through the Regional Communities Development Fund the NSW Government has invested $100 million dollars in projects with demonstrated high levels of community support that deliver social, economic, environmental or cultural benefits to communities in regional NSW.
The Regional Communities Development Fund provided an opportunity for projects that are highly valuable to their communities but may not meet the economic or other criteria of existing funding programs to be considered for funding.
The Fund has supported 25 major projects across regional NSW, such as $200,000 for a new helipad for the Maclean District Hospital, $10 million for the Kiama Aged Care Centre of Excellence (pictured), $3.6 million for the design and construction of a multi-purpose community centre at Griffith, and $2.3 million for improvements at the popular tourist destination, the Zig Zag Railway in the Blue Mountains.
Funding under the Regional Communities Development Fund has been fully allocated.
