Regional Communities Development Fund Process Evaluation

The Regional Communities Development Fund (RCDF) was established to support the delivery of infrastructure projects which aim to deliver social, economic, cultural, or environmental benefits for regional NSW communities.

In Round One, the RCDF successfully distributed $80 million to 14 infrastructure projects in regional areas through a competitive grants process. These projects will deliver social, economic, cultural, or environmental benefits for regional NSW communities.

This Process Evaluation assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of program activities relating to the program design, application, assessment and funding deed negotiation processes. The evaluation found the program had a clear rationale and was well planned and implemented and had effective governance arrangements and managed risk and probity issues well.
