The NSW Government is committed to supporting and building thriving regional communities and ensuring regional NSW is a great place to live now and into the future.
Our Vision for Regional Communities and Action Plan 2023-25 outline immediate priorities and longer-term strategies to make regional NSW an even better place to call home.
It will ensure people in our regions have confidence in local services, enjoy the benefits of a regional lifestyle, and be able to access the services they need, when they need them.

People are physically and mentally healthy so they can make the most of their daily lives.
Education and training give people opportunities and choices about how to live and contribute to their communities.
Communities and Places
Communities and places are vibrant and inclusive, with access to quality services and infrastructure.
Communities have safe, affordable and quality accommodation to meet their needs.
Our Vision for Regional Communities identifies three further enablers of better outcomes for regional communities.
Each enabler is an essential foundation for achieving the best possible outcomes across all four focus areas.
Attracting, growing and retaining workers to provide services by offering career, financial and lifestyle benefits for skilled people and their families.
Working with local people and communities to secure services that meet local needs, are well coordinated, and represent value for money.
Supporting high quality physical and digital connectivity to enable access to quality services, delivered more efficiently, and with greater equity.
