Seeing first-hand what is happening in Wilcannia
The Chief Executive and Acting Executive Manager Aboriginal Health and Community Relations, Corina Kemp, recently visited Wilcannia to see first-hand what is happening on the ground and to ensure the needs of the community are being met.
They talked extensively with our staff working hard on the front line, community members and stakeholders and our partner organisations who are doing really great work to support the community. From these important discussions, we have identified a number of areas for improvement and will continue working around the clock to provide an exceptional healthcare response to Wilcannia, and our other communities across the far west region.
The visit elicited very positive news about the health presence in the community and we are extremely grateful for how welcoming and supportive the community has been.
It is only through the joint efforts of everyone involved that we are going to get through this pandemic. Our togetherness is our strength.
