Plans for Albury

Located along the Hume Highway and home to the NEXUS Industrial Precinct, Albury is ready for business expansion. The Albury Regional Job Precinct will focus on the region’s established industries to create opportunities to grow existing businesses and attract new businesses to the region.

The Albury Regional Job Precinct will add to the NSW Government’s investment in the region and the NEXUS Industrial Precinct by providing specialist planning support to drive planning reforms to help realise the region’s potential. The precinct will build on the work already done as part of the Albury-Wodonga Regional Deal

Next steps

The NSW Government will work with Albury City Council, local businesses and communities to identify gaps and opportunities to improve local planning processes before developing a plan of action to unlock investment and growth opportunities, delivering stability and creating jobs for communities across the Albury region.

Community members will have the opportunity to provide feedback throughout the process. Updates on upcoming community engagement opportunities will be communicated across Albury City Council and NSW Government communication channels
