South Jerrabomberra - Regional Job and Innovation Precinct

Plans for South Jerrabomberra

Located at the doorstep of Queanbeyan, and home to the expanding Poplars Innovation Precinct, South Jerrabomberra is ripe for business investment.

The NSW Government is working closely with Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, the ACT Government and federal agencies to identify barriers to development and opportunities for employment growth, in industries such as defence, space, cyber-security, information technology and scientific research.

The aim of the Regional Job Precinct is to deliver improved planning pathways to support industry growth and job creation and to facilitate cross-border planning.

The precinct will build upon the $23 million investment by the NSW Government to improve infrastructure within the business park thanks to the Growing Local Economies Fund.

Community update

The NSW Government’s South Jerrabomberra Regional Job Precinct draft master plan is nearing completion. The master plan will set out a strategic planning framework that removes barriers for industries and businesses seeking to establish or expand, to create more highly skilled jobs and boost the local economy.

The master plan will outline the precinct’s long-term vision for attracting new investment as well as supporting development already underway, including the Poplars Innovation Precinct, South Jerra residential estate, Regional Sports Complex and the Jerrabomberra High School.

The South Jerrabomberra Regional Job Precinct draft master plan will be publicly exhibited later this year.
