Uncle Lyall Munro Senior

(30 September 1931 to 21 May 2020)

The State Funeral will honour Uncle Lyall Munro Senior’s extraordinary legacy and contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Uncle Lyall Munro Senior was a passionate land-rights leader and campaigner who demonstrated a life-long commitment to campaigning for the rights, social justice, equality, and interests of Aboriginal peoples in NSW, nationally and at times internationally.

Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly on improving conditions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, no matter where they came from or lived, and leaves a profound legacy of achievements.
