Telco Authority’s Telecommunications Emergency Management Unit (TEMU) works with frontline responders and carriers during emergencies to protect telecommunications infrastructure and help keep communities safe and connected.
The Telecommunications Operations Centre works with emergency services organisations and commercial carriers to identify potential risks and direct resources to protect critical communications assets.

Next to Australia’s triple zero emergency hotline, the Public Safety Network (PSN) is the most important critical communications network in NSW. It is one of the largest of its type in the world.
Our customers include emergency services, essential services, government agencies and local councils. We have more than 50 customers with over 50,000 registered radios using the PSN.

NSW Telco Authority has developed the NSW Connectivity Strategy to align and optimise state-wide programs and opportunities to ensure modern, high speed digital networks are available to all.
The Strategy is an important step forward to align with world’s best practice, accelerate the take up of higher-speed digital services, and close the digital divide between metropolitan, rural, and regional areas.

The Connectivity Innovation Network brings together national and globally- recognised expertise, researchers and industry to solve connectivity challenges and deliver improved outcomes for the people of NSW.

The NSW Government is delivering on its commitment to improve digital connectivity with the launch of the NSW Connectivity Strategy.

The NSW Government has delivered 250 new or enhanced Public Safety Network (PSN) radio sites, reaching more than 97 per cent of the population and increasing mission-critical communications coverage for first responders.
