Bundanon is situated on 1000 hectares of bushland and has been a registered wildlife refuge since 1981. Pick up a map and take a self-guided walk or book one of their Cultural Walks led by First Nations Custodians to experience a deeper connection to country. Bundanon's bushland includes over eleven vegetation communities. This diversity of flora and structure provides habitat for many species of native fauna. Birds and large mammals are highly visible, while many species of reptiles, amphibians, and microbats are highly cryptic. Please check Bundanon tracks are open before arrival and notify a staff member before heading on your walk. Tracks will be closed in the event of inclement weather, including high winds. There are three different walks at Bundanon: Buddawang Track, Treelines Track and Haunted Point Loop. Please note Treelines and Haunted Point are accessible on Saturday and Sunday (From the Homestead site), whilst Buddwang is accessible from Wednesday to Sunday. Days may vary without notice. All walking tracks are Grade 3 - suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience is recommended. For Treelines and Haunted Point Loop, The Homestead gate closes at 4pm. All visitors should plan their walk returning to the carpark by 3.30pm.
