About this location
'The Heart of Maitland' was curated by local Newcastle artist Jordan Lucky in the carpark of Maitland Central.
The mural's concept was inspired by Maitland's colourful ecosystem reliant on the Hunter River. It features a stunning variety of birds of prey that are embraced by the local community.
It really gives the space an bright uplifting environment.
