Murrumbidgee Valley Regional Park was created in July 2010 by combining a number of former state forests. It covers an area of 1180 hectares.
River Red Gums can be found along the Murrumbidgee River. The river red gum forests are an important component of the broader Murrumbidgee floodplain ecosystem. They contribute valuable ecosystem services, including carbon sequestration.
Best access to the Murrumbidgee Valley Regional Park is from Darlington Point.
