The Harden-Murrumburrah Silo Art is a striking landmark about the region's rich agricultural heritage and is a must-see when exploring the Hilltops Region. Created by acclaimed Mongolian-Australian street artist Heesco, the artwork transforms the former Murrumburrah flour mill into a towering tribute to the grain industry that helped shape the Twin Towns. The mural reflects the history of the site and the golden wheat that brought prosperity to the district for generations. The original flour mill was completed in 1865 and became an important part of the local economy. Following a major fire in 1919, the complex was rebuilt between 1919 and 1922, including the construction of the iconic concrete twin silos that now form the canvas for this impressive artwork. As the 46th installation on Australia's Silo Art Trail, the mural has become a popular stop for travellers, photographers and those discovering the stories behind regional Australia. The silo art is conveniently located opposite the Harden-Murrumburrah Visitor Information Centre and within walking distance of local attractions including the Bill the Bastard statue, the Light Horse Memorial and nearby parks.
