Located at The Henry Parkes Centre, just north of Parkes' CBD along the Newell Highway, the Parkes Visitor Information Centre is the perfect place to relax and take in the region’s rich history. Explore the museum complex, featuring the King’s Castle Elvis Exhibit and the Parkes Motor Museum, both housed within the centre. Just next door, visit the Henry Parkes Museum, home to an impressive antique machinery collection. Be sure to enjoy the free 15-minute documentary in Moat Cottage, a replica of Sir Henry Parkes' childhood home in Coventry, England.
Don’t miss the newest addition to the complex—the iconic Gates of Graceland, a replica of the famous gates from Elvis Presley’s home in Memphis, along with the Parkes Elvis Festival Wall of Fame.
The friendly staff at the Visitor Information Centre are on hand to offer helpful information about the Parkes Shire. You can also browse a variety of souvenirs, local produce, and handy snacks to make your visit even more enjoyable.
For further information, please contact the centre.
