Lovers of antiques and collectibles and those who love to browse should make a beeline to the Victory Theatre Antique Centre in Blackheath, housed in a striking 1915 Art Deco building that was once the Arcadia Picture Palace.
More than 50 dealers occupy the centre’s two floors, with wares including jewellery, books, vintage clothing, paintings, dolls, ornaments, light fittings, fine china and porcelain, and furniture.
There’s an onsite café, the Victory, in the foyer, the ideal spot for a little post-shopping indulgence – from a big breakfast and ricotta hotcakes (brekky is served until 2pm), to a seasonal lunch menu featuring burgers, salads and curries.
Don’t miss the Jenny Kee murals on the outside of the building when you’re done.
