Overview of this event
Linda Chant is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, and sculpture. Drawing on memory, language, Art History, and found objects, her work invites reflection on the fragility of our world and the fleeting nature of experience.
This exhibition brings together a selection of works created over the past five years, exploring ephemeral moments—the flush of a flower, the shifting of light, falling water, or the stir of memory. Chant's imagined objects and ambiguous spaces invite viewers to step into the works, forming personal connections through their own memories and interpretations.
While some works may initially feel unsettling, they reveal unexpected beauty, transforming the ordinary and discarded into magical forms.
Witness this compelling exhibition at the Grenfell Art Gallery and experience the delicate balance between fragility and wonder through Chant's distinctive vision.
Chant's work has been recognised with awards for painting and drawing, and she has exhibited widely, including solo shows at Bathurst Regional Gallery and group exhibitions across Canberra, the Southern Highlands, and Orange.
