While attempting to cook his grandmother's curry live on stage, Josh Hinton weaves together childhood memories and family folklore, exploring how the stories we tell and the memories we keep shape us all.
Woven from the threads of a sweeping family epic, A Place in the Sultan's Kitchen (or How to Make the Perfect One-Pot Chicken Curry) is charming, funny and moving. Theatre maker and singer-songwriter Josh Hinton fills the theatre with music, memories, and exotic smells as he attempts to make his grandmother's chicken curry, live on stage.
As you exit the theatre you will be greeted with a serving of the dish to complete your immersion in Josh's story!
