Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner

It's time for the most decadent - yet most fun - truffle event in NSW! Get your best Oscars-worthy dress and tuxedo ready, add some rhinestones to your gumboots; it’s time for Borrodell’s Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner! While you're dressed to the nines, you'll go hunting for Borrodell’s Black Perigord truffles with our master forager, then retire to a private underground cellar for a warming house-cider. Behind the scenes, our resident chef and a special guest Chef will be creating your five-course indulgent degustation truffle feast using the day's find. Previous guests included Corey Costelloe (RockPool Bar and Grill), Giovanni Pilu (Pilu at Freshwater), Justin North, Robert Molines OAM (Bistro Molines). This is one of the region's most iconic events - listed by media personality, Lyndey Milan OAM, as one of her top 3 Australia-wide food destinations! Guests roam the oak trees in search of truffles with the truffle dogs, then retire to the warmth and candlelight of the wine cellar for a fine dinner prepared by some of the finest chefs in the country. Every year, the Dinner hosts a charity auction. Previous charities included Starlight Foundation, Save the Koalas and the Cancer Council of Australia. Guests can bid on artworks as well as the prized truffles found during the hunt. There are also prizes for the best blinged-up gumboot!
