Bungendore Harvest Festival

Southern Harvest Association is once again proud to be hosting the Bungendore Harvest Festival: a three day celebration to showcase food, fibre and farming. To celebrate the inclusion of the Bungendore Artisans Group the theme for this year's festival is creativity! As in previous years the festival will be launched with a local produce dinner on Friday night, this year hosted by The Carrington Inn. There will also be a panel discussion with local food and sustainability experts. On Saturday the streets of Bungendore will come alive with market stalls, workshops, demonstrations, food and entertainment. The Festival Market will once again have a joyous display of local food from our member producers. Southern Harvest aims to include as many local producers, makers and business as possible in the festivities and welcome applications from all over the Southern Harvest Region. On Sunday, festival goers are encouraged to travel further afield and participate in a farm tour, or intensive workshop. In previous years workshops have included mindful poultry processing, and tours focussed on self sufficiency living. The Sunday long lunch is a festival highlight: a multi course meal featuring the best of the region. This is an opportunity for one of the many talented chefs in our community to flex their creative cooking muscles!
