Overview of this event
Step into a powerful Aboriginal cultural experience with Gumaraa, where you'll connect with Country, culture, and community through ceremony, storytelling, and hands-on activities. Guided by Aboriginal educators and Traditional Knowledge Holders, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the world's oldest living culture.
The experience includes a cultural welcome, traditional practices, movement and dance, storytelling and opportunities to learn about bush resources and artefacts. Participants are guided through meaningful activities that share knowledge, history and cultural perspectives in a respectful and engaging way.
Designed as a guided and inclusive experience, Gumaraa encourages learning through listening, participation and connection, offering a deeper understanding of culture that continues beyond the day itself.
