Overview of this event
Join poet Luke Johnson in conversation with Mara Davis Johnson as they discuss his new book, 'Kangaroo Unbound' at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum & Gallery.
'Kangaroo Unbound' is a collection of 50 poems by Johnson that take their titles and inspiration from legendary Australian artist Garry Shead's iconic 'D.H. Lawrence series' of paintings and etchings which he produced in the early 90s in response to Lawrence's 1923 novel Kangaroo.
This special event will take place among some of Shead's paintings and etchings that inspired the poems in the Kangaroo Unbound exhibition, now on show at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum and Gallery.
The event is free for the general public with a museum entry to be purchased on arrival. This also includes light refreshments. Museum Members and Annual Pass holders are free.
