Overview of this event
Duck Creek Film Society invites audiences to its next film night in Alstonville, delivering an evening that blends cinema, music and community spirit.
The feature presentation is L'attachement (The Ties That Bind Us), a contemporary French film that is both funny and heartfelt. Set in modern-day France, the story follows a single father and his two children as they form an unexpectedly deep bond with their feminist neighbour. Smart, joyful and gently provocative, the film explores modern relationships and challenges traditional ideas of what makes a family.
The evening begins with live music by local songbird Veronica Jean, setting the tone for a relaxed and welcoming night out. Finger foods and beverages will be available for purchase, courtesy of the Alstonville Public School Parent Group.
Tickets can be purchased in advance via Humanitix or at the door, subject to availability.
