Overview of this event
Introducing their latest exhibition from acclaimed Melbourne artist, Daniel Butterworth: Cardboard, 10,000k's and Seven Weeks!
This exhibition was born from personal experiences, where each piece has been created as a direct reaction to moments and locations that stirred an emotional connection within Daniel.
A figurative and landscape artist based in Victoria, Daniel has over 20 years of rich artistic practice. Daniel’s passion for art is expressed through the unconventional method of using house paints on cardboard. This eclectic approach aligns him with avant-garde sensibilities reminiscent of greats like Edvard Munch, Ralph Balson, and Ian Fairweather, mirroring their experimental techniques and bold application.
His impressive body of work has garnered recognition, establishing him as a finalist in prestigious awards such as the Archibald Prize, Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, Black Swan Portraiture Prize, and various others.
An exhibition not to be missed!
