Overview of this event
The Riverina Conservatorium of Music invites you to our fourth annual Festival of Concert Bands. Over three days, musicians of all levels from beginners to seasoned players can enjoy workshops, rehearsals, and performances across three band streams.
This year we are thrilled to welcome Lieutenant Colonel Rachel Beeton from the Australian Army Band and Major Nicolas Buff from the Australian Army Band Kapooka. Their expertise will guide participants in live performance, ensemble skills, and music-making alongside RCM educators.
Friday, 9:30am – Primary School Band Day
Open to primary students with at least one year of experience. Led by RCM educators, students will explore new repertoire, develop skills, and make friends. Students will perform at the Festival Finale Concert on Sunday 29 March at Victory Memorial Gardens, 11am.
Cost: AUD10 per student
Friday, 5:30pm – Festival Carpark Party
Kick off the weekend with live RCM ensemble performances, local street food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Free entry. BYO chair.

Murrumbidgee Band Grade 4 with Major Nicolas Buff Australian Army Band Kapooka
Sunday – Massed Band Rehearsal with Lieutenant Colonel Rachel Beeton Australian Army Band
Festival Finale Concert: Featuring Primary, Wollundry, and Murrumbidgee bands, plus performances by the Riverina Concert Band, concluding with the Massed Band.
