Overview of this event
In this exciting cooking class with Le Cordon Bleu London trained chef Katie White, you will learn how to create classic French dishes to make in your own kitchen for years to come. Roast chicken with celeriac puree, ratatouille, creme brûlée, tarte tartan, and confit garlic are just some of the classic French options to explore during the class. You will learn invaluable basic French techniques including making a mirepoix base for all your soups, classic French sauces such as jus or hollandaise to bring every meal together, and creme anglaise to accompany any dessert.
As with all Katie's classes, the focus is on seasonal and sustainable food. For example, you will learn how to get the most out of all the produce used with very minimal waste. You will also have the option to learn how to make vegetarian versions of each dish so that all your guests can enjoy. Gluten Free versions of this class can be easily adapted too, upon request.
