Overview of this event
This two-day program invites young mob to immerse themselves in culture, fishing, and fun on Country.
Participants from Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi and Worimi Nations will:
- learn traditional fishing practices
- create a communal fishing trap
- hear stories from Elders
- enjoy hands-on activities in a safe, inclusive, and culturally rich environment
- connect with Country and community
The program is open to all young Aboriginal people, including those from priority groups, with a safe and supportive environment that encourages participation regardless of ability or previous experience.
