Stephanie Alexander will be joining us for a long table lunch at Rick Stein at Bannisters to talk about the 30th anniversary edition of The Cook's Companion.
With over 550,000 copies sold, Australia's kitchen 'bible' celebrates 30 years of changing kitchens across the globe with a fully updated edition for the next generation of kitchens. In 1996, home and restaurant kitchens alike were revolutionised by Stephanie Alexander's The Cook's Companion. One of Australia's great food educators, she compiled the ultimate guide to cooking, from ingredients to appliances, seasonality to challenges.
To celebrate 30 years of this classic, Stephanie has fully revised over 1000 pages to reflect the changing face of cooking and produce and changing attitudes to food.
