Overview of this event
Australia's most iconic recreational cycling event, held annually on the first Sunday in November.
The MS Gong Ride supports Australians living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and is the most significant fundraising event for MS Plus. Cyclists depart Sydney and ride to the City of Wollongong.
The event offers 3 distances; 82km starting at Tempe Recreation Reserve, and 58km starting at Engadine. Cyclists ride the Princes Highway through the closed roads of the Royal National Park, travelling along the coast to Thirroul, over the Sea Cliff Bridge through Woonona finishing at Thomas Dalton Park, Fairy Meadows.
A short ride on the cycleway from Nicholson Park is offered to members of the Cycleability program from The Disability Trust.
