Overview of this event
Murray Art Museum Albury presents No Easy Answers, a major new original exhibition.
Bringing together six artists from across Australia and the United States, No Easy Answers explores art as a way of thinking. It makes the case for art as a necessary strategy in confronting contemporary challenges that have no easy answers.
Responding to the human tendency to fill gaps in knowledge and understanding with superstitious beliefs, conspiracy theories and polarized politics, these artists break apart the invisible structures that constrain comprehension of our contemporary moment. No Easy Answers is an invitation to consider cultural understanding as an exchange across international, national, and local contexts.
Featuring work by Ella Barclay (AU), Christopher Hanrahan (AU/USA), Vera Hong (AU), Tracey Moffatt (AU/USA), Vitche-Boul Ra (USA), Wilmer Wilson IV (USA).
No Easy Answers is just one of six exhibitions taking place at MAMA over Autumn. With multiple gallery spaces there is something for everyone at MAMA, including local artists, works from the permanent collection, and children's installations.
