Overview of this event
The tradition of egg painting is celebrated in many cultures and brings joy and fun to everyone. It is a symbol of rebirth and new life.
For Harmony Day, they are celebrating Nowruz, the Persian New Year. Painted eggs are also part of this beautiful festival and its traditions.
This event will be run by local artist Setareh, who will guide you and your children in creating your own colorful eggs.
Come along with your children (aged 3-12) and celebrate with us at the library in the spirit of Harmony Day. This event also recognises the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD).
Wagga Wagga City Library is proud to contribute to the Community Cohesion Program in Libraries, an initiative of ALIA in partnership with the Office for Social Cohesion and the Australian Public Library Alliance.
Please book your place.
