Overview of this event
Explore the blue world with exceptional free talks all weekend at the Ocean Lovers Festival at Bondi Pavilion.
Dive into expert panels on topics such as sustainable seafood, Indigenous sea knowledge and shark net alternatives. A fashion-forward panel featuring Kit Willow and an exploration of the restoration of Sydney Harbour will be presented alongside marvelling at the smarts of the Octopus and the magical creatures that are Sea Dragons.
The ocean’s role in Extreme Weather will be revealed, and shark conservation legend Valerie Taylor will return to discuss her campaign for the critically endangered Grey Nurse shark. Actress and activist Tessa de Josselin will host a panel about the sea urchin invasion crisis and how making it a culinary hero could save sea forests.
The free inspirational Ocean Lovers Talks are from scientists, ocean leaders, entrepreneurs and adventurers, sharing incredible insights with the public.
