In the setting of a Victorian parlour, the incredible adventures of Anna Bishop, the world's first truly international Opera Diva, are brought to life.
Anna's life reads like fiction, as she survives shipwreck, scandal, tiger attack, hostage, war zones, epidemics and boom-bust fortunes.
A woman determined to carve her own artistic career, Anna leaves her famous husband to tour the world with her genius harpist lover. Performing to royalty and packed houses she became the darling of the goldfields and beyond.
The story is threaded with songs and arias of the day, that became parlour favourites (and whose charms still endure), such as Lucia Mad Scene, Last Rose of Summer and Home Sweet Home.
